A large European multinational IT company, which is based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Ensures adherence to established technology standards, whilst supporting existing systems and responsible for leading technical aspects of projects.

·       Participate in complex projects and issues within functional technical area and cross-functional area.

·     Works independently with IT functional units and business units and make recommendations of solutions for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements.

·       Provide operational support of new infrastructure. 

·       Security policy administration of firewalls.

·       Support and administration of network security systems

·       Escalation point for global operations team.

·       Adhere to change advisory board policies and procedures.

·       Provide guidance and support for L2 and L3 team members.

·       Produce and maintain documentation (procedures, knowledge articles, diagrams).

·       Support and administration of network infrastructure and overlay network services.

·       Review security software releases and patches for implementation in accordance with software patching policy.

·       Participate on major incident management calls.

·       Analyzing existing network security solutions and recommending solutions, including the design, and configuration of Cisco ASA firewalls, CheckPoint firewalls, VPNs, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution and access), Cisco routers and other network security solutions.

·       Participate in joint technology design sessions, providing technical analysis on implementation sequencing.

·       Install, configure and test hardware and applications based on design specification.

·       Consider platform interoperability, equipment/OS upgrades and updates to meet agreed upon hardware standards and methodologies.

·       Participate in remediation for post incident reviews.

 

·       Recognize opportunity for resolution and own what is needed to drive resolution, identify and recommend support process improvements.

 

 

Required Experiences:

·       Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred, with minimum of 8+ years of related experience

·       Minimum 3 years working experience with Cisco and CheckPoint firewalls; and minimum 5 years working experience with Cisco routers and switches.

·       Working knowledge of application-based rules.

·       Proficiency in DMVPN & IPSEC VPN

·       Experience with EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols

·       Experience with Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K

·       Wireless technologies and security protocols

·       Familiarity with automation and scripting in python

·       CCNA/CCNP Security or equivalent experience

·       Experience on project delivery on building or setting up Checkpoint firewall from scratch

·       Has experience leading a team either in project delivery or support
