Head of Direct Sales Channel (Life Insurance)

About Our Client:

A large Life Insurance company, which is based in Kuala Lumpur.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Drive and achieve designated key sales performance indicators, i.e. APE targets, persistency ratios, product mix, customer complaints, etc.

·       Identify, recruit and supervises a team of high caliber sales team leaders and relationship managers to market and sell company’s line of products.

·       Determines annual unit and NBV plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.

·      Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for team leaders and expansion of territories and projecting expected sales volumes and profits for existing and new products.

·       Implement sales programs by developing field sales action plans.

·       Maintain sales volumes by tracking changing trends, economic indicators and competitors, among others.

·       Closely monitor staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees.

·       Plan, monitor and appraise job results.

·       Conducts and identify key trainings to sales teams to maintain and upgrade professional and technical knowledge.

 

 

Required Experiences:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in any field of studies, with strong and proven sales track record in Life Insurance industry.

·        Minimum 10 years of experiences in the Insurance industry, with the most recent 3-5 years in people management roles.

·        Strong knowledge of local regulatory governance around the Insurance industry, especially LIAM, PIAM, and financial services in general.

·        Other areas of technical knowledge are pricing, risk management, marketing, channel & distribution, product development, systems, legal, etc in order to run and sustain a highly successful and sustainable Insurance business for the company.

·        Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to lead and manage the team to success.

·        Ability to manage internal key stakeholders and to provide regular and timely updates.
